Two men have been charged related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.

The charges follow an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage taken after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A toddler was one of the people hurt during the incident. Several persons required hospital care and were subsequently released.

The incident – which authorities stated was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
