Young golfer preparing for significant competition

The rising star maintains substantial online following

Kai Trump will have numerous prominent supporters when she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns numerous golf courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she mentioned.

Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"My grandpa essentially advised me to play and relax," she continued.

"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."

While still amateur, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

But she can receive tips from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.

"He is the best player globally," Kai expressed.

"Additionally, he's an even better person. He advised me to play, have fun, adapting to the flow."

Kai will face some of the biggest names in the sport at the competition, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Officials stated that involving Kai exposes the sport to different demographics, specifically with youth audiences.

The social media influencer maintains a massive following and has started her own fashion and living label.

The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
