FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in the Spanish league over two years following their departure for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
