It was typical 'old Buffalo' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defensive side and Josh Allen trying to overcompensate to dig his team from the situation - not the composed, disciplined, balanced Bills we've seen this season

Miami have demonstrated a varied performances this year so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the start of a trend, but for Buffalo they'll need an immediate bounce-back in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay next week as the New England are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the top of the AFC East

Traveling to Baltimore is challenging too, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West with the Kansas City to play twice, the Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but face the same problem) and additionally the Green Bay on the schedule

The Colts also face the Kansas City, and have the Seattle, San Francisco and two games with the 5-4 Jaguars to contend with. There's a long way to go but the door is available for a surprise top seed in the AFC

Both squads with strong arguments to be better than all of the three 8-2 teams are National Football Conference West rivals the Seattle and Los Angeles, who each scored 40 burgers to reach 7-2 ahead of next week's Hollywood blockbuster game between the pair in LA
